Female Researchers Chapter of the International Association for Computational Mechanics
CONSTITUTION

1. Name and objective
1.1 Name: This organization (herein after referred to as the “Chapter”) shall be known as “Female Researchers Chapter (FRC) of the International Association for Computational Mechanics (IACM)m”.
1.2 Mission: The mission of the chapter is to promote gender balance in the computational mechanics community and to provide a supportive network for female researchers.
2. Membership
Membership is open to female researchers who are members of IACM.
3. Committee
3.1 The committee constitutes 11 members including: Chair, Deputy Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
3.2 Three geographical regions (i.e. Europe-Middle East- Africa, the Americas and Asia-Australia) are to be approximately equally represented on the committee.
3.3 The committee will meet at the World Congress in Computational Mechanics at two year intervals. In addition, the committee may meet at a regional association meetings and/or via telecon.
4. Finance
4.1 The financial record of the chapter will be the responsibility of the Treasurer.
4.2 The financial report will be generated and presented to the committee at the WCCM committee meetings.
5. Changes to the Constitution
5.1 The chapter committee can propose changes to the constitution. Such changes will be subsequently ratified by more than 50% of the members of the committee present.
