IACM Honorary Fellows

The International Association for Computational Mechanics would like to recognize highly distinguished members in our community.

We are pleased to announce the formation of the IACM Honorary Fellows. IACM Honorary Fellows are meant to be individuals who are prominent in theoretical or applied computational mechanics, and who have distinguished themselves by long and highly impactful careers at the international level.

IACM Honorary Fellows may be nominated from among the IACM Fellows by any Honorary Fellow or Fellow in good standing. The scientific contributions of the nominees will be carefully reviewed by the IACM Major Awards Committee. The names of not more than two Honorary Fellows shall be recommended to the Executive Council for election before the WCCM every two years.

The first IACM Honorary Fellows nomination period will be open from August 26 to October 28, 2019.

The first set of Fellows wi! ll be announced during the WCCM-ECCOMAS 2020 in Paris.

The following schedule is planned:

– Official Open Call – August 26, 2019

– Nomination submission deadline- October 28, 2019

– Letters of reference submission deadline- November 11, 2019

– Major Awards Committee Meeting- November 22, 2019

– Announcement in WCCM-ECCOMAS 2020 in Paris- Opening Ceremony- July 20, 2020
