The Ohio State University is looking to hire a postdoc for a project that will start in the summer or Fall of 2018 and last for two years. The project is sponsored by the FAA and will be focused on the modeling and analysis of UAV ingestions into an engine.

The following skills are required for the project:

  • Expertise with finite element analysis
  • Good oral and written communication skills (monthly telecons)
  • Good teamwork and leadership skills (collaborations with industry, partner universities, government agencies and OSU students and staff)

The following skills are preferred for the project:

  • Material failure modeling and/or contact modeling
  • LS
  • DYNA expertise
  • Hypermesh expertise
  • Verifying computational results with experiments
  • Previous work with turbomachinery and/or UAVs
